PT. Aneka Tuna Indonesia : Integrated Solution for Fisheries Industry

PT Aneka Tuna Indonesia (PT ATI) is a joint venture company between Itochu Corporation, Hagoromo Foods Corporation and other foreign firm. Specialized in canned tuna, enjoyed around the world and sold in Japan, Europe, Middle East, Australia, Canada, Africa and also in Indonesia as domestic sale.

 

Previously, PT ATI ERP software has been use built-in ERP for its operation for years. Meanwhile, the accounting program uses a software from Japan. Then PT ATI wants to bring improvement by using an integrated system with a big brand, namely Microsoft. PT ATI wants to run one ERP system without spending on two different software, and wants to integrate the two systems used.

 

Based on the constraints explained by PT ATI, GITS Team provides a solution to implement the 2016 NAV. Given that ATI has been running a built-in ERP system with various custom, all customs on former ERP have been brought to the NAV system (redesigned). There are several special custom for PT ATI as the products is canned tuna. Custom Fish Sizing is a special function in the fish processing industry, the module can assess fish products, which have variables on weight and type. This module produces automation in the form of a barcode scales on each fish packaging. Custom Bonded Zone (Kawasan Berikat/KB) relate to the making of reports and administrative information. Data and document filling in the NAV will automatically sync (connected) to the IT inventory website. The ATI server uses Azure with a monthly subscription because it previously used an in-house server that was quite long, and the performance has been not good and slow.

 

With the Go Live of Microsoft NAV has been successful, overall total cost of ownership in two different business applications can be reduced (cost effective). And the use of NAV certainly makes operational systems as well as corporate finance and accounting seamlessly integrated. The implementation of custom-made by GITS is also very helpful in operational effectiveness and sales. Especially the custom Fish Sizing and KB, which is indeed a special treatment for the client industry, until successfully implemented and running well.
